2026 is gonna be a little different
For the past 12 years, we have been at two weekly markets rain or shine, nearly year-round. Change is hard, but we know we want to try something new for 2026. It may not be a permanent change, but we know the time is now to try something new out and see if it works for our family. Our greatest worry is that we will miss our friends, colleagues, and customers who have nurtured and nourished our farm (and vice versa!) at the Greensboro Curb Market over the last decade. Hillary is so excited to take the opportunity to work with long-time co-conspirator Carolyn Hulsey to grow and market flowers together and hopes to have some Saturdays off to do fun things as our daughter grows and develops interests off the farm. But we don’t know how this change will work, and it’s entirely possible that we will be back to our tried and true ways in 2027! We have relied heavily on the annual buy-in from our coop members - our core group without whom we would not be here today. In 2026 we will not be offering our coop program as we have for the past decade. To be honest, I’m a bit nervous as we enter into this uncharted territory. But if feels too difficult to manage the backend of the coop - which I have lovingly maintained as an analog system - while not regularly at the Greensboro Market. We will however, offer e-gift cards through our online store. So if you feel inclined to buy-in in the way you have before, and you understand that it will be for our pastured pork and grass finished beef through the online store, then please, please buy a gift card! We plan to be weekly at the cobblestone farmers market April-December. We plan to offer monthly on-farm meatboxes and on-farm pickups from the online store starting in late February. We also plan to grow limited spring veggies for on-farm pickup and the Cobblestone Market in Winston Salem.
